Public funds are not personal resources

Public funds are not personal resources or gifts from government officials—they come from the taxes and contributions of the people. These funds are meant to serve the public good and address the needs of the community. It is the duty and responsibility of public officials to use these funds effectively and transparently to deliver basic services, build infrastructure, and implement programs that benefit everyone.

Public service is not a platform for self-promotion or seeking adoration for simply fulfilling one's job description. Praises are unnecessary for performing the basics of governance—what is expected of leaders is accountability, integrity, and a genuine commitment to uplift the lives of their constituents. Ultimately, public officials should remember that their role is to serve, not to be celebrated for doing what is inherently their duty.
